Winning & Mah Jongg

Declaring Mah Jongg

The moment a player completes a valid hand, they announce "Mah Jongg" to stop play immediately — winning by self-pick or by calling the final tile from a discard.

Once declared, no more tiles are drawn or discarded. Play pauses so the winning hand can be laid out and checked before scoring.

Example

A player who draws their final needed tile calls "Mah Jongg" right away, rather than waiting for their turn to officially end.
