Building the Wall
Before the deal, all four players stack their tiles into a wall two tiles high in front of them.
Everyone builds at the same time, face-down, so no one sees another player's tiles. The four individual walls are then pushed together to form one continuous square wall around the table.
Example
With 152 tiles in a standard set divided by four players, each player's wall works out to 38 tiles — two tiles high, nineteen stacks long.
